RIPNDIP BRAND
This brand of streetwear borrows a number of intellectual properties to adapt for use within clothing and other merchandise, these tongue-in-cheek references are usually blended with the character Lord Nermal (white cat) who morphs and changes to fit the given theme. An animated gif is used on the website homepage, there is also a specific static cat logo which appears in open tabs of the site. The brand is known for setting up pop-up stores around the world, these stores are always unique looking with brightly coloured/contrasting decoration and nods to the brand all over.
As a fan this brand I would ideally like to create an animated sequence representing the brand and characters. I envision creating a mixture of 2D hand drawn and 3D built elements that can be composited and manipulated in a psychedelic style. I'd use a mixture of programs like Blender, After Effects and Photoshop to create the assets/backgrounds.
(After doing further research I have come across a lot of official animations based around new releases of clothing lines/concepts which lead me to feel like I should look into other ideas.)
